WATER RETICULATION PROJECT

RISSINGTON – MOUNT McNEIL

Overview

Aqualine recently completed a large-scale rural water reticulation project at Rissington, designed to deliver reliable water supply across challenging terrain and elevation.

The project involved a long pumping main with significant vertical lift, followed by gravity-fed distribution to stock troughs across the top of Mount McNeil.

What we dID

This project included full supply, installation, and pressure management across the system:

  • Installed 1.2km of 63mm pipeline

  • Managed a 200m vertical lift on the pumping main

  • Installed 25-bar rated pipe at the base of the hill

  • Reduced pressure to 9-bar pipe at the top

  • Installed a new tank at the summit

  • Ran gravity-fed lines to troughs around the top of Mount McNeil

Each section of the system was designed to suit pressure requirements and long-term reliability.

Why it matters

Correct pipe sizing and pressure management are critical when dealing with long runs and steep elevation changes. By matching pipe ratings to pressure zones, the system operates safely, efficiently, and with reduced stress on components.

The gravity-fed layout from the summit tank ensures consistent water delivery to troughs with minimal ongoing energy and maintenance requirements.

The Aqualine Advantage
  • Pressure-specific design to suit elevation changes

  • Efficient system layout for long-term reliability

  • Practical, farm-ready solutions built for real conditions

  • End-to-end installation, from pumping main to trough supply
